The short version (for busy parents)

The rest of this policy explains those points in more detail. We've tried to keep it in plain English, because we're parents-of-players first and lawyers never.

Who we are

Temper Tantrum is made by eGenesis2 LLC. It's a cartoon arena game for kids where characters throw pillows, water balloons, rubber chickens, and glitter at each other. We built it for children, so we designed it to collect as close to nothing as possible.

The save file on your device

Like almost every game, Temper Tantrum keeps a small save file on your device only, so your progress isn't lost when you close the game. It contains:

Uninstalling the game deletes this file (on most devices — some platforms offer cloud backup of app data, which is controlled by your device settings, not by us; we've turned off automatic backup of the save file on Android).

What the game sends to our leaderboard server

The game has optional online leaderboards, hosted on a server run by eGenesis2 LLC — not by any third-party company. When a score is submitted, the game sends our server:

  1. The anonymous device ID (UUID) described above — random, device-generated, not linked to any person.
  2. The nickname — only ever a nickname a grown-up approved through the parental gate. Our server also automatically checks nicknames and replaces anything inappropriate with "Player". If no nickname was set, the game uses a safe default.
  3. Match results — score, knockouts, match length, win/loss, and which arena.

That is the complete list. The game never sends personal information because it never asks for any: no real names, no email addresses, no birthdays, no location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone or camera access, no persistent device identifiers like advertising IDs.

We never sell this data. We never share it with anyone. There are no analytics companies, ad networks, or data brokers involved — the data goes from the game straight to our own server and nowhere else.

Like every website and online service, our web server keeps standard, short-lived technical logs (which include the connecting IP address) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not linked to leaderboard entries, are not used to identify or profile anyone, and are cleared on a short rotation.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Temper Tantrum is designed for children, and we take the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws elsewhere (like GDPR-K in Europe) seriously. Our approach is simple: the best way to protect children's data is to not collect it.

The parental gate

Before anyone can enter or change a nickname, the game shows a "grown-ups only" gate: a multiplication question that young children are unlikely to solve, with a 60-second lockout after a wrong answer to prevent guessing. This keeps nickname entry in adult hands.

Deleting your data

If you're a parent or guardian and want a leaderboard entry removed:

  1. Email us (address in Contact us) with the in-game nickname as it appears on the leaderboard.
  2. If you can find it, including the device ID (UUID) helps us delete exactly the right entry — but the nickname alone is usually enough.
  3. We'll delete the entry and confirm by reply.

We can honor deletion requests without asking who you are, because the data was never tied to a person in the first place.

To delete the local save file, just uninstall the game.

Data retention

Leaderboard entries (anonymous ID, nickname, scores) stay on our server so the leaderboards keep working, until a parent or guardian asks us to delete them — see Deleting your data. We may also periodically clear out old or inactive entries. Server technical logs are kept only briefly (see above).

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what the game collects or how we use it, we will update this policy, change the effective date at the top, and — for anything meaningful — note the change in the game's store listing update notes. We will never make a change that quietly starts collecting personal information from children; that's a line we won't cross.
